We are looking for a Warehouse Operative for a 12 -month contract based in Derby on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet’s vital power needs.
An exciting opportunity has presented itself to become a chemical process technician within the special Process department at the clients Control Systems production facility.
As a Warehouse Operative you will be responsible for:
Gantry
- Required to drive forklift truck to load /unload deliveries coming in the facility.
- Driving forklift truck to load / unload kitting media this can be empty returns or complete kits going to the LSC
- This can include manual handling of material
Inbound
- Using RF scanners and printers
- Booking in material that has been received into the facility
- Manual handling of material (small and large)
- Checking paperwork for the correct information to allow the material to be booked into the facility
- Sometimes computer-based activities
- Putting material away to specific slots
- Manual handling of material (small and large)
- Checking and confirming material to the correct location (information from put away label and barcodes for the correct location)
Kitting
- Picking and decanting parts for specific kits called for by build
- Pulling / moving ‘A’ frames and wardrobes
- Working to a specific kitting document
- Working to a specific pick sheet (this gives the information of Qty’s required storage locations for the specific parts)
PPI Counts
- Checking stock locations Information is loaded onto the RF scanner
- Checking stock and confirming qty’s from the location the scanner has sent them to (manually inputs numbers / locations)
Key skills:
- Forklift licence an advantage but not a must as full training is provided
- SAP experience an advantage
- Experience in picking, kitting, receipting, warehouse duties.
