Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Full time Role - Starting ASAP

Monday - Friday

8am - 4pm

Our expanding Warehouse Department requires an experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor to supervise operations within our busy, warehouse, in Leyton.

You need to be an ambitious, hardworking and attentive person, capable of working a full shift on your feet in varying warehouse temperatures.

Working alongside the Operations Manager the applicant will need to maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, help develop the warehouse processes, and help develop the team and provide an impeccable and reliable service to our customers.

Job Summary

Working within a small team to help grow a fast-developing childrenswear e-commerce site.

Supervising the team of warehouse staff in daily operations of picking and processing of orders.

Supervise the team in all warehouse duties - Packing, Shipping and logistics and working with shipping companies associated with this. Making sure the team meet daily targets for order picking set by you.

Ensuring general maintenance within the warehouse is carried out to a high standard.

Supervise inbound and outbound deliveries and stock control.

Enforce company rules and regulations whilst motivating the team.

Ensuring health & safety regulations are observed.

Ensure a high degree of detail and focus in every job.

THE ROLE

  • Train, supervise, and motivate warehouse staff
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including; picking, checking, packing, shipping, goods in/ out
  • Manage all warehouse facilities eg. rotas for kitchen and toilets.
  • Oversee all stock checks in line with Operations managers instructions.
  • Enforce company rules & government guidelines for health & safety
  • Identify keys areas for Brexit bottlenecks and find solutions
  • Check all Duty & Tax invoicing and advise Operations Manager of any errors.
  • Step in to Customer Service roles where necessary

Responsibilities and Duties

  • On a daily basis to manage the team of Warehouse Operatives.
  • Supervising the daily fulfilment of all orders with 100% accuracy to productivity targets set by the Operations Manager.
  • Supervising all goods in processes within the Warehouse with speed and accuracy and liaising with Buyers to maintain optimum efficiency..
  • Supervising the unpacking, checking and putting away stock deliveries with 100% accuracy.
  • Making sire that the operations Manager is aware of low stocks on all warehouse consumables.
  • Managing all recycling and waste management via the Bywater Waste Disposal account
  • Managing the cleaning schedule within the warehouse.
  • Where necessary stand in for any of the roles within the warehouse including the Operations Manager role if they are on leave or sick.
  • Where necessary updating and managing stock on Veeqo.
  • Alongside the Operations Manager produce the weekly staff rotas and alter where necessary during the week so they remain an accurate log of hours.
  • With the guidance and assistance of the Operations Manager daily management of all warehouse staff.
  • Alongside the Operations Manager managing all supplier relationships relevant to the Warehouse - Royal Mail, DPD, DHL, Raja Pak, Kilby Packaging - to name but a few.
  • Show an understanding and interest in the business as a whole making sure you have full knowledge of all brands and their key selling features and benefits.
  • Show an interest and understanding of the MamaOwl Customer and what she expects from the brand.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL

  • Previous warehouse experiences.
  • Experience using Excel and Word
  • A very good level of the English language plus numeracy and literacy.
  • A good communicator who’s always looking for ways to help.
  • Have attention to detail and care about getting it right.
  • Friendly, calm and efficient – even on the busiest days;
  • Excited about the challenge of a varied and fast-paced job.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
