The team
ITV reaches millions of viewers every day so understanding what they watch, how they watch and why is the fundamental part of what we do in ITV Audiences. We are at the very heart of ITV, providing robust and actionable insight to enable the business to make better decisions. We are involved in all elements of the life cycle of a programme from development to recommission, international distribution and advertising impact. We provide our customers with intelligent, creative and inspirational consumer research, utilising multiple techniques to get under the skin of what makes viewers tick. We use this insight to demonstrate the effectiveness of advertising on ITV’s portfolio of TV channels and digital platforms, as well as providing insight on consumer lifestyles, and wider trends. The role
- Working with other members of the audiences team to show how ITV attracts mass audiences across its channels and platforms and how this benefits the advertisers partnering with us.
- Exploring viewing trends across TV, SVOD services (including Netflix and Amazon Prime) and Youtube to understand what people are watching, when and why.
- Conducting ad hoc research to unearth actionable insight around how the lives of consumers being impacted by the big things (e.g cost of living, inflation).
- Exploring what consumers feel about brands within multiple categories and how ITV can help them better connect with customers.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Someone who is curious to know how things work as we are always looking for new ways of doing things better.
- An interest in communication and advertising would be a bonus.
- Scoring at least 9/10 through the multiple choice application questions
- Descriptive and an originality portrayed within the set application questions
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- A clear understanding & passion for the apprenticeship role you are applying for as well as ITV
- Have a willingness to learn new skills with the appropriate training
- Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude
- Good understanding of how to use technology in an office environment for example use of the Google suite, zoom
- You will be friendly and approachable, respectful to all of your ITV colleagues
- You’ll have the ability to maintain a positive attitude, even when under pressure and working to deadlines
Eligibility/Entry Criteria
As this is a Level 4 Apprenticeship, we require you to have/be predicted to achieve the below qualifications
A Level (or equivalent Level 3 qualification) C or above in at least 1 subject and GCSE Grades (or equivalent) C/4 or above in English and Maths plus 2 other subjects.
There is no upper age limit to an Apprenticeship, we would encourage applications from anyone leaving school, all the way to looking for a career change. Please see below to check you meet the eligibility criteria:
- You have lived within the UK/EEA for a minimum of 3 years consecutively
- You meet the entry criteria for the apprenticeship as listed above
- You have not completed a degree/same level qualification in a similar subject to the role you are applying for
- You cannot have achieved the qualification already and you must not already be in full time education at the point of enrolment
