Warehouse Operations Manager

Recra are working in partnership with an Award winning Food Manufacturer, who are keen to recruit a Warehouse Operations Manager to join their forward-thinking team.

The Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the warehouse teams so they work in a safe manner and are continually improving standards.
  • Develop and Maintain operational strategies for the warehouse in line with company objectives; ensure stock accuracy and ensure full compliance with all processes.
  • Deliver cost-effective service and deliver all standards within agreed budgets. Deliver cycle counts and routine stock counts to agreed intervals, and investigate complete root cause analysis where needed.
  • Take ownership of the development of standards, processes, and procedures to deliver great service to internal and external customers, safely and in the most efficient manner.
  • Drive for continuous improvement and seek out stars within the teams, give them the leadership and encouragement they deserve to enable them to shine.
  • Maintain a clean warehouse operating to the highest standards of food safety compliance.

Knowledge Requirements:
  • We are ideally looking for a food manufacturing experienced Warehouse Operations manager.
  • People Development – knows how to develop a team, and motivate individuals in a way that they feel ownership and accountability for delivery.
  • Safety – a great understanding of how to keep people and products safe. IOSH preferred.
  • Process – a clear ability to quickly grasp an understanding of a process and develop an understanding in others.
  • Continuous Improvement – great understanding of how good warehouse practice works and able to put theory into practice; shift reviews, daily reviews, weekly reviews.
  • Communication – the ability to convey messages quickly and simply to the relevant audience.
