Operations Manager – Fulfilment
We are partnered with an FMCG Fulfilment Brand, located in Hertfordshire, looking for an experienced Operations Manager. The company is a growing brand with 50% year-on-year growth and ambitious plans to be the leader in its sector. When it comes to FMCG this company deals with it all and is looking for an agile, adaptable manager who can deal with a wide scope of responsibilities.
This role isn’t for the faint-hearted. If you are self-driven, thrive on data and are eager to outperform your competitors, then this is the role for you. Whilst they have experienced exponential growth in the past 2 years, this brand still has the start-up vibe and requires an individual who has experience in businesses of this size.
Responsibilities
- Paramount and above all else, ensure H&S compliance
- Review KPIs and set performance targets for your team, inspecting these regularly
- Warehouse cost control and analysis, working closely with your Operations Director to manage your department’s P&L
- Capacity planning and forecasting for new clients - we are in a growth phase so we need to plan ahead
- Inventory control – ensure the physical stock in the warehouse matches what’s on the system at all times, through accountability and processes
- Instil accountability in your Department Managers and schedule meetings to review this regularly
- HR responsibilities - for example, recruitment and personal development plans
- Continuous improvement is essential to handle this type of growth, so you must bring ideas to the table
- Systems and data – there is no hiding it, this role requires someone who can create a pivot table, deep dive into data and get to grips with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) quickly.
Experience and skills required
- Has managed a 24hr operation previously
- At least 5 years of Warehouse Management experience
- Experienced with Excel, G-suite and WMS
- Previous experience in presenting short to long-term plans
- Worked on and led projects related to continuous improvement
