We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Distribution Centre Manager in our Distribution Centre in Wellingborough.
The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing the operation and identifying opportunities to maximise productivity and efficiency whilst ensuring all costs are controlled inline with budget.
What will you do as Distribution Centre Manager?
- Be responsible for the day to day running of the operation, ensuring costs are kept within budget. Identifying savings where possible and ensuring correct planning and staffing of the operation.
- Provide guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to the team, driving overall performance of the Distribution Centre.
- Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvements.
- Ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
- Ensure a positive team atmosphere, leading with professionalism at all times.
- Communicate targets - reviewing progress and performance.
- Maintain a positive relationship with 3PL customers and deliver the required services levels at all times, providing solutions to issues when neccessary.
- Ensure customer service is delivered to the highest standard at all times.
What will you need to succeed as a Distribution Centre Manager?
- Experience within DC operations and warehouse management are essential
- Ability to work under pressure and to react quickly when required
- Self motivated, adaptable, flexible and organised
- Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to adapt your style to suit others.
- Knowledge of Red Prairie will be an advantage
- Experience of managing 3PL
