WS Transportation are looking for a Warehouse Administrator to join our team in Loughborough. A Warehouse Administrator will work successfully to ensure an effective and efficient warehouse function; this will fulfil the requirements of all customers and will do so in a cost-effective manner, ensuring that all administrative processes are complete accurately. They will also support other departments within the business to offer administrative help.
Key Accountabilities
- Administrative support to the Depot Manager
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies.
- Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods.
- Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
- Organise all pick tasks on WMS for the daily operation.
- Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary.
- Respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone
- Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
- Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Respond to telephone and email queries in a professional timely manner, pass messages to relevant personnel
- Keep Line Manager informed of any irregularities.
- Ensure that all Warehouse queries are handled in an efficient and consistent manner, in accordance with customer requirements.
- Liaise with customers, drivers, and other departments.
- Supporting the wider team
- Filing, Photocopying, Scanning
- To ensure that all activities are undertaken in accordance with current legislation, Company policies and procedures and best practice..
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel/Outlook/WMS
- Demonstrate proven administrative experience.
- Experience of working within a warehouse office environment
- Good local and national geographical knowledge
- Experience of routing desirable but not essential
- Organised with a methodical approach to tasks
- Ability to consistently follow set company procedures
- Confident telephone manner
- Effective communicator oral and written
- The ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
- Able to work from own initiative and also as part of a team.
- Motivated, Pro-active, and reliable
