Job description

WS Transportation are looking for a Warehouse Administrator to join our team in Loughborough. A Warehouse Administrator will work successfully to ensure an effective and efficient warehouse function; this will fulfil the requirements of all customers and will do so in a cost-effective manner, ensuring that all administrative processes are complete accurately. They will also support other departments within the business to offer administrative help.

Key Accountabilities

  • Administrative support to the Depot Manager
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies.
  • Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods.
  • Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
  • Organise all pick tasks on WMS for the daily operation.
  • Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary.
  • Respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone
  • Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
  • Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Respond to telephone and email queries in a professional timely manner, pass messages to relevant personnel
  • Keep Line Manager informed of any irregularities.
  • Ensure that all Warehouse queries are handled in an efficient and consistent manner, in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Liaise with customers, drivers, and other departments.
  • Supporting the wider team
  • Filing, Photocopying, Scanning
  • To ensure that all activities are undertaken in accordance with current legislation, Company policies and procedures and best practice..

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel/Outlook/WMS
  • Demonstrate proven administrative experience.
  • Experience of working within a warehouse office environment
  • Good local and national geographical knowledge
  • Experience of routing desirable but not essential
  • Organised with a methodical approach to tasks
  • Ability to consistently follow set company procedures
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Effective communicator oral and written
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
  • Able to work from own initiative and also as part of a team.
  • Motivated, Pro-active, and reliable
