Start Date : September 2023

Location: Yattendon, West Berkshire

Salary : £22k - £28K dependant on experience

Overtime : Paid Hourly, regularly available

Holiday : 24 Days + Bank Holidays

Reporting To: Project Manager / Operations Manager

Summary:

We are a leading events/technical production company moving to Yattendon, Berkshire from September 23. With a track record of delivering exceptional technical production services, we supply and support approximately 1100 events each year. Our newly acquired 11,000 square foot warehouse reflects our continued growth in the industry.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Warehouse Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Warehouse Manager, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring the timely delivery and maintenance of our extensive inventory of audio-visual equipment. You will also be responsible for helping to develop a team and overseeing the day-to-day operations in our busy warehouse.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all warehouse activities to ensure the efficient flow of goods and timely delivery of equipment to events.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage our rental inventory of audio-visual equipment, ensuring stock levels are accurate.
  • Utilise and manage our rental management software, Current RMS, to track and organise equipment availability, bookings, and returns in collaboration with the projects team.
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to improve productivity, safety and minimise errors.
  • Train and manage warehouse staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor and maintain warehouse safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, production, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and successful event execution.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the warehouse operations and suggest innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, preferably in the events or technical production industry.
  • Strong planning, administrative, and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a meticulous approach to inventory management.
  • Proficiency in using rental management systems (experience with Current RMS is a plus).
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating a team.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce compliance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with irregular working hours, including weekends and evenings when required.
  • A passion for the events industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
