UCH Logistics is a dynamic, customer focused provider of specialist transport services to the airfreight industry. Established in 2000, we have built a reputation for offering reliable time-sensitive and next day deliveries throughout the UK. We have branches in Heathrow and Manchester.
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our fantastic team of professionals on a full-time, permanent basis, based at our Manchester branch.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this vital role will provide support in being a further key point of contact for operational responsibilities within our busy warehouse.
In addition to excellent Supervision skills, the right candidate should be physically fit, possess great communication skills and be able to remain calm and polite in all circumstances.
Duties include, but are not limited to
- Ensuring all freight is screened and labelled ready for transport to airline and export
- Ensuring all documents accompany the freight accordingly
- Supervising the loading of the Daily Trunkers to London and Glasgow
- Training all new staff on the company processes and procedures
- Ensuring all movements are in line with CAA and UCH regulations
- Standing in for the Warehouse Manager in their absence
- H&S monitoring
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Detailed knowledge and experience within the aviation freight industry
- Good commercial awareness and decision making skills
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Experienced Counterbalance FLT operator
Desirable Qualifications:
- COS (although training can be provided)
Salary & Shift
- £13.50 per hour (£31,590 per annum)
- 14:00 – 00:00
- Monday to Friday
