Job Overview
The postholder will lead the team, ensuring that all operations are completed within time and manpower budgets in a safe working environment. This ensures that goods are picked, packed and stored in an effective manner.
Responsibilities
- Organise and lead the Library team in the accurate and swift completion of jobs.
- Maintain and process work according to the production schedule.
- Ensure targets are met, aiming to exceed those targets were possible and reporting upon any variances where they may occur.
- Proactive with an eye for problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Control the movement of the relevant job documentation (eg pick sheets), ensuring that they are returned when completed.
- Ensure goods are packed adequately to minimise damage when goods are delivered.
- Ensure full adherence to health and safety policy and procedures.
- Oversee the picking and filing of all Library relevant paperwork to an accurate level.
- Complete stock location checks as requested by office staff and / or Warehouse Manager, and complete check-sheets, including any adjustments, maintaining stock accuracy and integrity.
- Any other reasonable request as directed by the Supervisor or management.
People management
- Encourage, motivate and lead the team of Library operatives in their allocated jobs;
- Report on any misconduct or poor performance to the shift supervisor;
- Take a lead role team meetings, gearing them towards productivity and contribute towards continuous improvement
Housekeeping
- Ensure that the workplace is kept in a clean, efficient and safe manner;
- Report on any accidents within the workplace are reported;
- Bring to the attention of management any unsafe working practices or hazards

Internal
- Retail & Film office staff, warehouse supervisors and management, and other warehouse staff
External
- Clients and suppliers, and their 3rd parties
Skills, knowledge and experience
- Experience in leading a team in a warehousing and logistics.
- A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, operations or service-related environment.
- Thorough knowledge of finishing production.
- Pick & pack, assembly, packing and collation experience.
- 3 D assembly knowledge.
- Demonstrable attention to detail.
- Computer proficient (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A team player with a positive attitude towards work and staff engagement.
- Ability to complete paperwork in English accurately and completely, understand the importance of detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive with an eye for problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge and operation of WMS systems.
- Self managing and pro-active & ability to work in a team environment.
