Graduate Warehouse Supervisor
Proposed Salary Range : 24K - 28K Depending on Experience
Plater Group is hiring a Graduate Warehouse Graduate to join a specialist, well established Chemical processing and distribution business on the edge of the Peak District. Required Duties:
- Overseeing all Warehouse and Distribution activities on a day-to-day basis
- Proactively engaging with colleagues across the business, particularly Supply Chain and Sales teams, to maximise Warehouse storage capacity efficiently in line with forecast and seasonal fluctuations
- Ensuring Quality Control processes are robustly implemented to ensure all stock is received, stored, and delivered in optimum condition
- Maintaining a good physical condition of the warehouse environment by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair.
- Overseeing and maintaining stock integrity in the warehouse through effective cycle counting as well as organising and leading localised stock counts.
- Manage the Stock Control Team to achieve all required targets related to the department.
- Investigating and resolving stock discrepancy queries.
- Supervising the replenishment team to ensure picking locations are timely and fully stocked.
- Training and developing team, aiming towards continuous improvement within the department through review of processes.
- Define Inventory key performance indicators for tasks and personnel.
- Lead the communication with other business departments over all aspects of stock management.
- Ensuring product quality checks are followed through as required.
- Problem solving through root cause analysis, implementing measures to eliminate any recurring stock issues.
- Maintaining a high level of health and safety in your department.

- Have good time management skills with the ability to set priorities, fulfil critical tasks in time and keep to deadlines

- High level of numeracy, literacy and IT skills

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
