Warehouse Manager
Phoenix Technology Services is a progressive and innovative Calgary based Directional Drilling Company. Driven by our client’s needs, we are committed to providing more efficient and cost-effective drilling operations.
We have an opening for a Warehouse Manager based out of our SE Technical Centre location. Reporting to the Global Supply Chain and USA Production Director, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, documenting, and supervising all warehouse operations in our Calgary facility.
Responsibilities also include:
- Maximize employee and department performance by administering an up-to-date training program, performance management, and always strive for operational excellence and best practices across the network.
- Support global implementation of best practices such as systems integration and optimization, inventory control and demand planning.
- Implement and maintain lean/5s strategies.
- Interact between internal and external customers as it relates to material requests and inventories.
- Manage and monitor real time transactions as they relate to the ERP system.
- Perform and manage physical inventory and cycle counts and minimize discrepancies.
- Research root cause of inventory discrepancies and establish corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain KPI’s measuring performance in each area, setting targets, and developing accountability.
- Support Global Logistics processes and policies, to ensure most efficient and cost-effective practices are used in supplying tools/inventory to global locations.
- Build effective professional relationships internally and externally.
- Manage cost performance, supply/demand forecasting & distribution execution across a variety of product lines from multiple sources.
- Work closely with all departments across all product lines to ensure cohesive solutions and practices are developed/maintained.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of warehouse supervisor or management experience. They will have superior communication skills as well as strong analytical, financial and P&L skill required to succeed. The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of key supply chain/logistics processes and current best practices. They will have the ability to quickly establish credibility across the organization and engage others to ensure the most effective and efficient solutions. The incumbent will have the flexibility to seek and incorporate input from others when planning and will have a solid track record for effectively managing and developing a team. The successful candidate will have experience in supply chain technology/processes such as ERP, MRP, Production, CRP, and warehouse systems. A post- secondary education and previous oil and gas experience is considered an asset. A valid driver’s license with no infractions is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
