At Menzies Distribution, our extensive national network delivers parcels in the business-to-business markets including for some of the largest UK high street and online brands and specialise in retail, office, education, and light industrial markets. Due to exciting growth, we have an excellent opportunity for a Parcels division, Warehouse Manager in our Junction 41 Depot, Wakefield. You will play an integral role in the efficient day to day operations of the dept; you will manage a team and be responsible for coaching, training, and motivating.
In this position you will have the opportunity to use your people management experience to drive our business forward ensuring all associated costs, KPI’s and future growth requirements are well managed. Your enthusiasm for supporting your team will be infectious, but your ability to put your customers at the heart of every decision will be the real key to your success.
Thursday to Monday 8am - 5pm
Warehouse Manager duties (But not limited to):
- Manage and motivate the team to meet customer timescales and improved productivity.
- Maintain quality standards.
- Ensure the labelling, sortation and warehouse team productivity targets are achieved.
- Provide ‘hand over report’ to oncoming Shift Manager
- Ensure inductions are carried out for all new staff.
- Provide training to all staff and contractors to ensure they can undertake their duties effectively, efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all staff have completed the necessary Health & Safety training.
Requirements:
- Hold a full UK driving license.
- Must have management experience.
- Relevant working experience within Distribution or Logistics
- Hardworking, positive and a flexible attitude to work.
- Knowledge of H&S legislation
- Good PC skills
