We now have an opportunity for a Warehouse Shift Supervisor to join the team at our Saint Helens Depot.
Shift Pattern: Any 5 from 7 – 0600am-1400pm/14:00pm-22:00pm/22:00pm-06:00am.
Salary: £14.28 per hour.
To Monitor and Control Warehouse operatives, so that all duties and operations are being performed as effectively as possible. Provide support to the warehouse manager as required. Ensure that production is stocked correctly so that the lines are running efficiently.
- Manage the storage, handling and issuing of raw materials/packaging in a timely manner to production.
- Manage the warehouse team members, ensuring any targets set are achieved.
- Liaise with the supply team to ensure the traffic sheet is suitably controlled.
- Manage and optimise the segregation of raw materials, packaging and finished goods to minimise cross contamination.
- Maintains available racking space by organising deliveries in the most efficient way.
- Maintain allergen control in the warehouse.
- Ensure that PI counts are conducted to ensure stock accuracy.
- Using the warehouse management system to accurately record all stock movements with the Warehouse.
- Labour costs monitored and overtime control in place to minimise cost.
- Report all near misses/possible hazards/damage to the Warehouse Manager.
- Ensure all relevant information is shared at shift handover.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety in the warehouse including all MHE.
- Ensure GMP is completed, and corrective actions done.
- Ensure the active monitoring is completed and any issues raised.
- Conduct staff training and briefings, ensuring best practice is adhered to.
- Take an active part in stocktaking.
- Manage staff holidays and absences, including return to work meetings.
- Carry on with investigations, handling incidents and accident reports.
- Taking a part in Risk Assessments and creating safe systems of work.
- Any other duties that may be required by the business.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced customer driven environment.
- Previous knowledge in warehouse functions
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Positive attitude.
- Good attitude towards teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Excellent attitude towards providing customer service standards.
- Flexible approach to change
- Willing to Learn MHE & Scissor lift is Essential – Training Provided
- Allergen awareness
- Knowledge of HUB – SAP – Excel.
- Computer and Mathematical literacy.
