The role holder will coordinate the operational shift from end to end to ensure that all KPI’s and customer service levels are achieved.
To deliver this the role holder will need to monitor staff safety & welfare, operational process compliance and daily operational targets & KPIs ensuring this considers company standards and agreed customer service level parameters during your shift.
Shift Pattern - Sunday-Wednesday Nights 19:00-07:00
Annual Salary - £32,289.40
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure that you safeguard the Health, Safety & Welfare of your team, visitors and all colleagues under your control
- Ensure all practices and procedures are carried out in line with legislation and Company Safety, Health, Environment and Quality policy BRC guidelines and HACCP
- To deliver excellent levels of service to the customer
- Support the Supervisor to monitor and control costs and proactively and manage them against budget
- To liaise closely with other Shifts Managers & Team Leaders in Aylesford to develop strong working relationships and ensure understanding of each other’s issues, joint resolution of problems and achieve efficiencies between departments.
- To liaise with the Stock & Admin Controllers to ensure that stock counts, PI, inventory investigations and all other key inventory functions are supported and completed.
- Ensure that company standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained at all times
- Ensure that M.H.E. check / inspection procedures are followed and is operated appropriately.
- Maintain department discipline including time keeping, conduct and performance with the support of HR and utilising the Company’s policy and procedures where appropriate and escalating issues when necessary.
- Oversee the effective application of the Company absence policy and procedures including monitoring of absence levels and conducting return to work discussions.
- To ensure staff rotas are updated and correct levels of staffing are used.
- Identify the training and development needs for departmental Colleagues and coach/organise/oversee solutions using own knowledge and company training tools.
- Drive the culture of the site forward at all times
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment
- Able to motivate, coach and encourage others to achieve.
- Able to train and provide ongoing training support for individuals and small groups.
- Understanding of operational flow within temperature controlled FMCG warehouse
- BRC standards of operation
- Food hygiene standards and methodology
- Health and Safety standards, policy and procedures which apply to and are within the warehouse operation
- Receiving, storage, picking and loading processes
- BG hygiene standards
- Strong communication skills.

- Process driven to continually improve ways of working.
