Job description
Warehouse Manager
Sunday – Thursday Night (9pm – 6am)
As the Warehouse Manager with full responsibility for the night operation within our Harlow Depot, you’ll be a key member of the site senior management team - leading a large operational team to ensure the warehouse is achieving all key performance indicators through the effective management of your direct reports. You’ll contribute to, plan and execute the day-to-day operational strategy including workforce planning, using forecasting and trend analysis to ensure operational efficiency. And it goes without saying that you will be responsible for ensuring company, operational and legal compliance in critical areas including Health and Safety, HAACP and Food safety.
You’ll be a forward-thinking individual, identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvements to ways of working, quality, consistency and effectiveness of process. This is a busy night warehouse operation, with the shift being responsible for achieving high volume outbound orders - picking and preparing for dispatch. As the Manager, you are expected to be on site during critical operational hours, including the early morning handover to the Distribution Manager.
To join us as the Warehouse Manager, you will have previous senior management experience in a fast-paced warehouse operation – ideally within the FMCG sector. A highly effective people manager, you will have proven experience of developing your direct reports and of using a variety of methods and tools to enable this. You’ll be commercially astute; results driven, and detail orientated - using data and management information to support your decision making.
In return we offer a great package including basic salary and car allowance, generous holiday allowance plus the option to purchase more, pension plus huge discounts on award- winning products. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to further enhance your skills through our Learning & Development programmes. In Brakes you can really be anything you want to be!
