An award-winning sports supplement & healthcare manufacturer is looking for an ambitious person with a proactive attitude to managing warehouse operations. There is the requirement to work closely with the management team on projects giving scope for career progression and variety within the job.
You will be responsible for managing a small team and a warehouse of 4500 sq ft which has integrated digital systems. The business has plans to expand and your role will grow with this expansion. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious supervisor/manager.
Requirements of Candidate:
- At least 1 years of warehouse management/supervisor experience
- GCSE’s of C or above in Maths, English & Science
- Relevant vocational qualifications such as btech, City & Guilds or NVQ.
- Must be highly IT literate; with the ability to input, retrieve and analyse data.
Main Duties:
- Operation of Receta ERP software – specifically purchase order, sales order and stock modules
- Booking in goods, transferring goods to location and despatching of orders
- Introduction of efficiencies to the operation through continuous improvement
- Managing the team and communicating the business objectives to the staff to achieve daily results in line with our goals
- Enforcing correct procedures throughout the warehouse to meet quality standards such as GMP and food safety.
- Using data to generate reports on forecasting of product re-order levels, frequencies and highlighting trends
- Project management and scheduling of warehouse workload
- Stock management, rotation and stock taking
- Writing up SOP’s and applying best practices
- Assistance in the manufacturing of products when required
- Identification of problems and the proposal of solutions
- Liaising with senior management and presenting KPI reports
Essential Experience
- Working in a warehouse environment with at least one year in a supervisory or managerial position
- Managing & leading teams
- Producing reports & working to KPI’s
- Stock control & forecasting
- Creating Manufacturing flows & SOP’s
- Using warehouse management software in a workplace environment
