Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor who is ready to step up to the role of Warehouse Senior Supervisor. In addition to carrying out Supervisor duties, you will have overall responsibility for the smooth running of your assigned area ensuring the highest standards are achieved in the most efficient and cost-effective manner delivering world class Service.Key to the role is ensuring we get the best from our Warehouse Operatives, ensuring they are motivated, trained and carrying out their role to the highest standard.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement improvements to Warehouse processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee, plan and co-ordinate the incoming goods, storage, and despatch of orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Achieve team objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide World Class Service to all customers.
- Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
- Deploy staff to other departments within the warehouse so priorities are met.
- Communicate clear precise instructions and job expectations to Shift Supervisors.
- Deal with staff performance issues.
- Work with Shift Supervisors to drive staff engagement and motivate the team.
- Ensure all members of the team are multi-skilled within the Warehouse.
- Where required carry out investigations and deal with conduct/disciplinary issues.
- Undertake performance appraisals and proactively deal with performance.
- Partake in the recruitment of Warehouse staff.
- Ensure Health & Safety Policies are adhered too, creating a safe working environment.
- Make Sure Warehouse meets Hygiene standards.
- Adhere to relevant Safe Working Practices.
Skills and Experience:
- You should be an experienced Warehouse Supervisor.
- Sound knowledge of our warehouse systems & procedures.
- Strong proven people manager with the ability to motivate/ engage/communicate with staff and tackle staff performance issues.
- Experience of implementing improvements to Warehouse processes and an interest in continuous improvement.
- Sound knowledge of IT software packages (Windows & In-house data bases) with an interest in assisting the business with its expansion of the use of handheld scanners to wholesale orders thereby reducing the need for paper and increasing the efficiency of our operation.
- Flexibility and co-operation in relation to overtime working and assisting other departments when deemed necessary.

Additional information:
- The shift pattern for this role is 4 on, 4 off. Alternating between lates and earlies:
- Early shift: 6:00-16:30
- Late shift: 12:00 – 22:30
