Job description
The client is a leading distributor of electrical and manufactured components. Their customer base includes both SME’s and large corporate organisations across the UK. Due to growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced warehouse general manager to join their team in the Northampton / Bedford area.
Your role will be to manage a team of 60 operatives and 30 agency drivers across a 24 / 5 day operation. The site is fully manual and requires a hands-on leader that supports continuous improvement, helps deliver against SLA’s and positively encourages the build of a supportive and inclusive working environment.
The successful candidate will have a strong operational background and demonstrable experience of running warehouses. Experience in transport management (or a CPC) would be advantageous though not essential as the transport function is outsourced.
As our client builds upon their growth and success, in 2025 they will open a second Warehouse in the North West and as such, the successful candidate will ideally be promoted to the position of National General Manager. An excellent basic salary £65k-£80K is offered for the successful candidate.
