Warehouse Assistant/Stock Handler Bolton, England
Job description
We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant/Stock Handler to work alongside our existing team in our busy Bolton warehouse. Located at Lodge Bank Estate, Horwich, our warehouse hours are 9am-5pm Monday - Friday. This is a full time position.
Main Duties
- Receive incoming goods
- Check off incoming goods against a delivery note
- Report any discrepancies in goods received
- Report any quality issues
- Put away incoming goods in allocated bin locations
- Making sure all picking bins are fully stocked on an ongoing basis
- Have a very good understanding of how our database works i.e. How to search products, product condes, supplier codes, barcodes, bin locations etc.
- Working with and maintaining good relationships with all internal departments
Responsibilities
- Stock accuracy
- Barcode correction
- Investigate stock discrepancies and report information to Stock Controller
- Provide cover within the warehouse, picking and packing department when required
- Ensure product descriptions, codes and barcodes are all accurate and updated when necessary
- Stock taking as needed
- Maintain health and safety within the warehouse
We are looking for a motivated individual who can work well as part of a team, is quick to learn and use their initiative. The person would preferably have an interest in art and a familiarity with art materials. Ability to use a computer pertaining to the job as well as good communication skills are essential. Excellent organisation and time management skills are also required. Physical fitness is required.
