Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

Brief Outline:

  • As the Warehouse Assistant, you will be working within the business ensuring the Warehouse is working efficiently and correctly from picking and packing to shipping and receiving orders.
  • You will directly report the Operations Manager and work alongside the Operations Assistant.
  • This is a full-time job required 40 hours with London Living Wage hourly pay.
  • Attention to detail and organisation skills are imperative for this role.
  • Care & diligence are required as well as a positive can-do attitude that reflects the company’s brand and positioning when dealing with colleagues and customers.
  • You will be an integral part of the Square Root Team. From time to time, you will be asked to work on the Packaging Line or juice lemons in the Production Room. We all work together to make the best Fizzy-Pop there is!
  • We are a fast-paced business so you will be able to adapt to changes quickly.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Movement of stock on and off-site.
  • Goods in: Receiving and checking-in of all deliveries in line with our SALSA processes.
  • Goods Out: Keeping accurate records of product batches and order dispatch information.
  • Upkeeping of the Forklift.
  • Regularly reporting on capacity of the Warehouse and efficient turnover of stock.
  • Picking and packing all our orders, from Wholesale, Local deliveries to Online Store.
  • Ensuring all orders are packed and wrapped safely for transportation.
  • Stock checking all areas of the Warehouse including ingredients and packaging materials.
  • Ensuring all H&S and SALSA standards are adhered to and completing all paperwork associated with this.
  • Liaising with the Operations Assistant daily about orders deliveries and collections.
  • Using Online Portals to process orders and print labels.
  • Communicating internally with the Team on the business app “Slack” any work-related updates, reports or other.
  • Working with the whole team to maintain the quality control of all products produced while on shift.
  • Participating the packaging line shifts, including the operation of the line from empty bottle loading to finished product, changing label reels, checking bottles for low fills, over fills, batch coding errors or labelling faults, loading bottles into boxes, and packing and stacking cases of fizzy pop onto pallets.
  • Participating in the preparation of fruit including washing, chopping, squishing, collecting the juice, and disposing of the used pulp.
  • Carrying out our cleaning schedule & cleaning tasks to the standard required including daily clean downs of all used workstations and equipment, daily cleaning checks and weekly deep cleans.
  • Ensuring waste is kept to a minimum and regularly removing waste from the working area to maintain our high standards of cleanliness.

Other:

  • Ensuring all H&S and SALSA standards are always adhered to and assisting Operations Manager to continuously look for better ways to implement our systems and run our warehouse.
  • Any other reasonable tasks required.

  • Up to 40 hours per week paid at London Living Wage (currently £11.95 per hour).
