Job description
Looking for a full-time Law Clerk for long term employment with an initial probationary trial period.
The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting legal documents for real estate transactions. The successful candidate will also be responsible for printing and assembling document packages, both physical and electronic, data entry, answering phones when receptionist is already on the phone, preparing final reports. This is a permanent position, 35 hours per week with a 1 hour lunch break.
The candidate must be able to:
- Draft, revise and proofread legal correspondence to clients and opposing parties
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook is required
- Answer a 2-line phone system in a professional and efficient manner
- Present a positive and professional image of the organization to all visitors, suppliers, inquiries, and other interactions
- Diarize deadlines and follow up on daily tasks and reminders
- Knowledge of PC Law is an asset.
Requirements:
- Must have transportation to and from work (no public transit nearby)
- The position requires someone who has high attention to detail and can handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Must have completed high school.
- Must be able to use a computer and certain software proficiently.
- Ability to handle company, client, and co-worker information with sensitivity and confidentiality.
- Good communication and organizational skills
Other Information:
- Experience with Real Estate Law is not required but is an asset.
- Graduate of a Law Clerk Program not required but is a significant asset.
- Salary will be based on experience, training and other considerations.

Salary: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
