Job description
Warehouse Assistant
The London Eye
London, GREATER LONDON, SE1 7PB
United Kingdom
We are currently recruiting for Warehouse Assistants to support our Logistics function on a full time basis between March - September.
About the role
Within this demanding role you will ensure that the right stock is in the right place at the right time. You’ll check and sign off all goods and deliveries and distribute stock throughout the attractions, ensuring effective use of our stock management system.
With previous logistics experience you’ll already know the importance of stock rotation and you will do all that you can to keep waste and shrinkage to a minimum.
With an analytical mind you’ll audit and report on slow moving lines, negative stock and short life products and be able to advise the retail team on opportunities to increase spend per head.
Creating and maintaining a safe working environment, you will also deliver the highest levels of customer service to any guest that you meet whilst distributing/checking stock within our front of house areas.
This role is seasonal from March - September, based upon working 5 days out of 7 on a roster basis. Due to the nature of our business the attraction is open daily and so flexibility will be needed as shifts will include weekends, bank holidays and peak seasons.
About you
We are looking for the following skills and experience,
- Plenty of logistics/warehouse experience, with proven experience in managing stock
- Ability to develop and nurture relationships with internal and external customers alike
- Strong IT skills, with experience of using Microsoft Office
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to challenge and review current processes, creating the strongest levels of efficiency
- Excellent communication skills with the drive and motivation to ensure commercial success at every opportunity
Please be aware that this role is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift, carry and move boxes.
What we offer in return:
As well as a fun and engaging working environment, we also offer the following
- An hourly rate of £9.93, paid fortnightly
- A Merlin Magic pass – allowing free entry to attractions worldwide!
- 40% online LEGO discount
- 25% discount in our retail shops and restaurants
- Access to an exclusive employee discount website
- Employee Assistance programme
- Life Assurance
Perhaps the biggest benefits of joining us, however, are the amazing opportunities to advance your career. Merlin is a large, global, expanding business, so for an ambitious and talented individual looking to go much further with their career, we can provide the opportunities and the support to help you realise your potential.
