As Warehouse Assistant with NOV your job role will encompass; Receipt, Issuance, Locate, Pick, and despatch all commodities within the warehouse function, ensuring that all transactions are executed through our Warehouse Management System. During the execution of this role there will be a requirement to use mechanical handling equipment and hand tools also following process and procedures with an emphasis on continual improvement.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Packing all 3 rd party and intercompany shipments being distributed from the facility.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks as requested in other sections within the warehouse.
- Physically checking, counting, and packing materials
- Operates various storage and transport equipment, i.e., Powered forklifts, Overhead crane
- Safe loading and unloading of trucks for shipments that arrive/depart the facility
- Responsible for complying with all company HS&E (Health & Safety) and warehouse procedural requirements
- Responsible for maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
- Participate in NOV Observation Reporting System to identify potential hazards within the workplace
- Participate in on-call rota as required
- Responsible for carrying out a reasonable amount of overtime as and when required and in line with operational requirements
- To support the Warehouse Manager or supervisors in performing other duties as and when required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Standard Grade Level of Secondary Education or equivalent (essential).
- Technical qualification related to the job role (desirable).
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience within a warehouse environment (essential).
- Use of ERP Systems (desirable).
SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:
- Computer literacy including basic knowledge of Microsoft/ application (essential).
- Good communication skills (essential).
- Practical training on all essential workshop lifting equipment incl. Overhead Crane and Forklift trucks (desirable).
