JOB TITLE: Warehouse Assistant
LOCATION: Rainham, Essex
REPORTS TO: Logistics Manager
TERMS: Permanent/Part time (Monday - Thursday)
HOURS: 32 Hours - 9.30 - 17.30 (total 8hrs, 1hr unpaid break)
HOURLY RATE: £10.40 per hour (Chance of OT and weekends going forward)
ABOUT US:
Amazon's FBA program allows third-party sellers to store their inventory in Amazon's warehouses, and Amazon handles the fulfilment of orders for these sellers. Rahisi Ltd is an established Amazon FBA business. We are an E-commerce company that sells on Amazon in the UK and the US. We have been in business since 2017 and focus on products in health, beauty, and food. Our team consists of a Warehouse Manager who oversees all logistics, a Porter and a Warehouse Assistant. The overall goal is to maximise the number of products we get into Amazon's Fulfilment Centres.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The role of the warehouse porter within this company is to receive, assist in preparation, manage the inventory and send in to Amazon. When a supplier sends delivery to the warehouse, the warehouse team receives the shipment and inspects the items for damage or defects. They are also responsible for preparing bundles as per Amazon listing, ensuring that the items are properly labelled and ready to be sent in. A courier will collect pallets daily and deliver them to Amazon, Once received Amazon is responsible for fulfilling customer orders. The warehouse team also handles returns and process them accordingly.
Responsibilities:
- Unloading case packs on to work top
- Bundling and labelling items correctly
- Place specific amounts in boxes - highlighting the contents on the box
- Damage control such as using bubble bags, where applicable
- Maintaining a clean work environment
- Flat packing boxes
