SJP are working on behalf of their client seeking a proactive Health and Safety Manager to help make a difference in their charitable work.
In this role, you will be responsible for communicating, implementing, monitoring and reviewing Health and Safety processes, policies, risk assessments and safe working practices across the Midlands.
You will be the first point of contact for staff, visitors and contractors dealing with health and safety issues, reporting to the Head of Housing and Assets while working closely with the estates and facilities teams, operations teams, and center/site managers.
The ideal candidate will have a recognized Health and Safety Qualification (NEBOSH General Certificate or NCRQ Certificate) and be a member of IOSH or similar professional body.
You should have experience in providing health and safety advice, managing staff, delivering training, and dealing with sensitive issues with empathy and resilience. Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, as well as effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.
