AMTE Power plc, a leading battery business at the forefront of automotive transformation and energy storage systems, is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Operator to join its talented team dedicated to delivering climate change through carbon reduction.
We are going through an exciting period of rapid growth and are now looking for a Warehouse and Logistics Operator to assist with the day to day running of the Stores and Logistics, ensuring that data related to the Stores are accurate and the Stores’ IT system is maintained.
This Warehouse and Logistics Operator will report to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager and will be based at our Thurso, Caithness manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conform to and improve company Environmental and Health and Safety procedures and practices.
· Actively participate in the company’s Learning Event process, to improve safety standards and awareness.
· Ensure appropriate PPE is worn at all times.
· Receive materials from customers and suppliers.
· Goods inwards documentation checking, goods checking and acceptance of all deliveries to stock.
· Ensure all received stock is undamaged and that everything ordered is present and accounted for.
· Ensure the Warehouse and Logistics Manager is informed of low stock and other shortages which may require re-ordering.
· With the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, maintain a safe working environment within the Stores areas and ensure all current Health and Safety legislation is observed (including basic “housekeeping”).
· Delivery and collection of product and material as required.
· Perform any other duties that may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective running of the Department and Company.
· Organise and track the shipment of Goods (Domestic and International).
· Organise and track shipments of Dangerous Goods Consignments as per regulations IATA, ADR, IMDG.
Essential Criteria:
· Good team worker.
· Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of the business.
· Logical reasoning, with a “can do attitude”.
· Good organisational skills.
Desirable Skills
· Forklift License.
· Working at Height Training.
· Chemical Awareness & Handling Training.
· IT skills (to be able to use company business system with initial training).
