Job description
Warehouse Admin/Operative -Durham) - £11.42ph + benefits. Our warehouse admin/operative is required to ensure that all daily administrative & warehouse tasks are completed under the supervision of the Warehouse Team Leader / Supervisor. The products are mostly mattresses, bed frames and bedroom furniture (heavy items) so please consider this when applying.
The Role
We are hiring Warehouse administrator / operative to ensure that all daily administrative & warehouse tasks are completed under the supervision of the Warehouse Team Leader / Supervisor. This includes the receipt, storage and loading of customer specific orders and stock, inventory control & resolving queries. Liaising with other business areas to achieve business objectives. Ensuring compliance is met within Bensons for Beds Retail Ltd.’s legal and procedural requirements. To contribute to optimising our Customer Service delivery operation so that we remain a leading provider of logistics services.
Working Hours: 37.5hrs per week
Your role will involve:

Process returned goods back into the warehouse
- Carry out stock counts as required by Line Management, to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained with accurate & timely stock receipt
- To ensure all customer orders are processed and shipped correctly & any queries are resolved in a timely manner
- To ensure the health and safety of Self, Customers and Colleagues is not at risk, by taking all reasonable steps to ensure safety in the workplace, reporting any areas of concern to a Team Leader or Manager immediately
- Ensure safe handling and storage of all customer products in-line with company procedures.
- Order picking from storage areas ensuring that correct stock is picked from the correct location in to the correct loading bay in readiness for checking
- Movement of incoming stock from suppliers using manual and mechanical operations
- To load distribution vehicles in a safe, presentable manner, highlighting any errors or damages
- To undertake any tasks as reasonably requested by management

The Skills
- Previous manual handling experience working within a warehousing environment desirable
- Experience using a WMS
- Ability to lift & maneuver heavy products is essential
- Understands the importance of their role in Home delivery and its contribution to the wider customer experience
- Understands the importance of an effective warehousing operation to the wider customer experience
- Self-Motivated, disciplined & Positively contributes to the team, creating a ‘Great place to work’
- PPT Licence desirable
