The Priory Hospital – Altrincham is part of the Priory Group, Europe’s leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health. The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of clinical services. The hospital has residential facilities for 56 patients as well as day care and outpatient services.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and committed Ward Manager to work on Dunham Ward; our 24 bedded Private Adult Acute Service Ward. The successful candidate will lead the nursing team and manage ward resources appropriately ensuring that the care we provide to our service users is of the highest standard.
You will have proven leadership skills and a commitment to motivating and developing the nursing team along with an ability to influence and manage change effectively. You will be responsible for managing and directing the team ensuring compliance of statutory regulations, current legislation and quality standards.
You will be expected to contribute to the ongoing development of the service developing excellent working relationships with members of the multidisciplinary team, the Senior Management Team of the hospital and with external agencies and regulatory bodies.
You will have an ongoing commitment to professional development and will be a role model in promoting a culture of learning and development in your team. As a member of the leadership team your communication skills and motivation to strive for excellence will be key.
You will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration and you will have experience of managing a team in a healthcare environment.
