Full/Part time – Predominantly Mon to Thurs but occasionally will be required to cover Fridays and weekends.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Band 2 Ward Clerks to join our NICU family at Bradford Teaching Hospitals
At BRI NICU we care for the sickest, smallest and earliest babies from birth through to discharge and pride ourselves on our exceptionally high standards of care.
Accredited as the first NICU in the country to achieve UNICEF Baby Friendly Neonatal Standards we are very proud of the parents as partners in care ethos that underpins every aspect of the care we deliver to babies and their families within the service.
Ward Clerks are a vital part of our NICU team as they are family facing and front of house. Successful candidates will work as part of an established team carrying out administrative duties, welcoming families and also ensuring that high levels of infection, prevention and control standards are adhered to.
The Neonatal Service at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a friendly, innovative and forward thinking multi-disciplinary team that provides high quality care for babies from across the Yorkshire and Humber and beyond. We are proud of our close relationships with other neonatal units in the Yorkshire and Humber Operational Delivery Network and with Embrace.
This is a key post in the provision of clerical and administrative support to the Neonatal Intensive Care based at BRI. The clerk is an important and integral part of the team and applicants must be willing and able to act on their own initiative and organise their workload effectively and efficiently.
Successful candidates will be friendly, welcoming to families, talkative and able to politely challenge when people entering the unit fail to wash their hands.
