Job description
- E has had epilepsy all her life which is managed by medication, following elective surgery, 6 years ago she suffered a stroke. She is mobile but has a left-sided weakness which affects her mobility and hand function. E is fully verbal. She can become anxious at times and rigid in her thinking due to her brain injury.
- You will assist E to access the community and will be required to provide personal care for E which may include helping her with her contact lenses, hair and makeup, helping her with her splints, setting up her catheter, running a bath for her and making her bed.
- You will be required to help prepare meals and there will be some light cleaning.
- You will be a patient, empathetic person who is able to calm E when she becomes anxious. You will be caring, friendly, reliable and have a positive outlook on life as well as being flexible and a good timekeeper.
- You will ideally have previous experience working in Care but please do apply if you have limited experience as full training will be provided and you will be supported by a Team Leader and Case Manager.
- E has pet rabbits and a hamster so you will be an animal lover with no allergies.
- You will need to be a driver able to drive our client’s automatic vehicle.
- 12 hours a night – 21:30 to 09:30
