About us

Gusbourne is a premium English Sparkling Wine producer based in Appledore, Kent. We are expanding the team at our tasting room and visitor centre in Appledore and are looking for Cellar Door Support staff. Applicants need to be available to work both weekend days Saturday & Sunday, from April to October.

About the role

You will be the face of Gusbourne for guests enjoying a range of experiences, so you’ll have the confidence, people skills and knowledge to be an engaging, friendly team member. Based at the Nest in Appledore, you will support a range guest experiences, focusing on dining across our designated spaces. Your duties would also include:

· Acting as point of contact for Gusbourne guests

· Supporting Tour Leaders on a range of guest experiences

· Prividing crucial support between front & back of house operations

· Serving food as part of our tour experiences, picnics & events

· Cleaning down & setup for experiences & events

· Promotion of our wines, acting as an ambassador for Gusbourne

· Helping to deliver the Gusbourne events programme

· Working hours of 10:00 – 17:00 with the possibility of additional hours depedent on demand

About you

You will have experience in the hospitality or retail sectors, ensuring the very best customer experience whilst maintain a cool head at busy times. You’ll be someone who keeps a keen eye on the rapidly developing English Wine scene in Kent and beyond. Capable of supporting a busy service whilst maintaining the utmost professionalism and cleanliness standards, you will have the practical experience to hit the ground running for our busy spring/summer season. This role is all about having a warm and welcoming attitude to customers, so we need someone who is immediately engaging, with exceptional people skills and a focus on excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be representing the Gusbourne brand and team, and will be key member of Nest staff. Accordingly, the Cellar Door Support will be someone who can take responsibility for giving customers a great experience at Gusbourne.

Your skills and experience will include:

· Confidence in spending time with guests

· Wine knowledge and an enthusiasm to learn about wine

· Ability to deliver exceptional customer service

· Exceptional cleanliness standards

· Experience within food and wine perferred

· Able to work independently using own initiative

· Friendly, helpful and confident with an engaging personality

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 28 per week

Salary: £10.00-£11.00 per hour
