Waiter or Waitress - New Opening

Waiter or Waitress - New Opening London, England

Amtel Ventures Limited
Full Time London, England 11 - 14 GBP HOURLY Today
Job description

FINALLY – a Waiter / Waitress advert worth reading….

You’re likely tired of scrolling past all the advert cliches:

  • Join our family” – like the one you’re planning to disown?
  • passionate & enthusiastic” – in context that’s easy but we all know how draining some environments can be – even to the best of us.

We could go on, but you’ve seen enough of this elsewhere. So what’s different about us?

Louis in Earlsfield is an independent venue which intends to be the foundation & prototype to what we hope becomes a brand that sits at the heart of communities across London.

A bold claim perhaps, but our multifaceted venue resides at the heart of a new Co-living building. Housing over 350 flats and premium facilities such as a Private Gym, Cinema and co-working spaces; this lifestyle brand - run by FOLK – will soon be seen in further neighbourhoods across London.

Folk - noun- “People who shape and carry the culture of a place.”

As their resident hospitality operator, we’re positioned to not only be part of their community but also add to their culture. Whether that’s through collaborative events, treating each resident like the local celebrity or establishing relationships that are more than grab & go. We all have a favourite local – we want to say “Ours is theirs”.

To achieve a team culture that will endure the challenge of a new opening and ensure we build upon each success or failure – we’re looking for people who understand that investing their effort and expertise towards our collective success will allow us all to thrive. Sharing knowledge, supporting each other, learning every day – these will be central to the culture we hope to build. This is your opportunity as a skilled Waiter or Waitress to be part of it.

How is Louis multifaceted? (We’re all tired of ‘dynamic’, right!)

It’s an all day Mediterranean Restaurant & bar serving from breakfast to dinner; it’s a coffee shop with fresh pastries; it’s got grab & go options for a working lunch; retail items for residents to ‘prepare at home’ and even unique take away menus for local delivery. There’ll be a lot going on and this is where you’ll play your part.

Our waiters and waitresses will be at the forefront of our guest experience. We want you to build relationships with our regulars and first time guests to ensure Louis becomes their go-to treat. To achieve this we’ll need our Waiting Team to -

· Be yourself and engage with our guests. No two are the same, and whilst you may adapt your approach, we want our outcome to be the same – Satisfaction. Whether you lean on friendliness or professionalism, we want both to shine at the right times and we’ll trust you to do so.

· Be as attentive to the wider team as you are to our guests. You may have yourself together, but if your team-mate is struggling we want you to help. If there’s a lesson you can impart or a ‘trick to it,’ we want you to share your awareness.

· Be our ears. Instant success is rare and we’re prepared to adapt and willing to find new ways of satisfying our guests. You’ll be closest to our guests in understanding what works and what doesn’t and we need you to play a vital part in our development.

· Be part of our success. In large branded venues, the waiting team deliver a set product, typically under set guidelines or steps of service. As an independent, there is both the freedom to be yourself but also shape our hospitality.

This is an opportunity to join as a founding member of our team, allowing you to gain experience (and be cross-trained) across a broad range of Hospitality operations. It means that whether you’re an experienced all rounder or new to these sides of the industry – there will be various areas for you to master. In addition to the developmental opportunities, we’ll also look to promote from within and if we grow our presence to new communities with Folk, we’ll want you to be part of that journey.

With our opening weeks away, we’re keen to meet people who are ready for a new challenge, so apply now to be considered.
