The Role
We have a great opportunity for enthusiastic Waiters to join our Brasserie team in Harvey Nichols Edinburgh.
We are looking for someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about all things food and wine, as they will become a reference point for our clients who are often experts themselves. You will be working in our Brasserie, overlooking St Andrew Square, only a short distance away from Waverley Station. We have full and part time positions for Waiters, working up to 42 hours per week. Shift patterns involve working evenings and weekends.
The average hourly rate for this role £13.50, this is comprised of a base rate of £10.00 per hour and an estimated average earnings of around £3.50 per hour in TRONC and Tips.
What you will be doing
- Be devoted to our customers by providing the highest possible standards of customer service in a fast paced atmosphere
- Work as a team in setting up and preparing the restaurant before service begins
- Consider your customer’s satisfaction at every stage from seating them at their table to ensuring their bill is paid and they are happy
- Develop a high level of knowledge about our menus and share your opinions on choices of dishes, wine or cocktails
- Work closely with your team and celebrate fabulousness wherever you see it
Skills and experience you need
- Experience as a waiter in a busy restaurant
- Enjoy and know our food and wine
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
