Job description

Introducing Masabi
// At Masabi, we’re driving the fare payment revolution, powering the journeys of millions all over the world. We build fare collection platforms that allow riders to seamlessly buy and present tickets for public transport either on their mobile phones, from a ticket machine, or even by tapping their bank card to travel.

*
*Our Justride platform is used in over 150 locations worldwide, including some of the largest cities in the world. With our industry-first mobile ticketing SDK, we’ve partnered with large players in the transport space, including Uber, Moovit and Lyft.

Your own journey is important to us too. Choosing a role here means joining a network of innovators from all walks of life; a group of passionate individuals who consistently deliver. Here, you’ll find the tools you need to build the career you want. Whether you’re taking the direct route or trying a new path, we’ll support you no matter what.

*
Role Description*
// Masabi’s activities range from directly serving transit agencies in the small to medium end of the market to working with global system integrators (Accenture, Fujitsu etc) to serve the largest cities around the world.

As VP of Global PMO, you will build and maintain customer and partner relationships, owning the tools and methodologies required to support our complex deployment processes. Your role will have broad impact as you prepare our organisation for success at scale, both today and in the future. You’ll keep the business growing.

*
Responsibilities*

  • As VP of Global PMO, you will be joining the Masabi leadership team. In this global role, you will travel for ~15% of the time (USA, Europe, Asia, Australia). We’d prefer that you’re based in the UK or East Coast USA, but this is negotiable in some cases.
  • Masabi’s flexible working policy will allow you to work entirely remotely, or from one of our offices in London, Cluj, Denver or Boston. The choice about where you work from will be primarily made by you. Regardless of where you choose to work from, you will be allowed to work outside of the country of your employment for up to 3 months each year, local laws permitting
  • You will build and own a central program management office overseeing project delivery, with full accountability for on-time and on-budget global deployments. You will develop deep relationships with customers and partners, ensuring their voice is heard at executive level.
  • You will take full ownership of the current Project Management team consisting of ~9 Project Managers (currently spread across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific), successfully planning and deploying up to 40 new deployments across multiple geographies in 2023/2024, and scaling to many more per year.
  • You will work with business development and bids teams to ensure the resources, timelines, and budget required to deliver for a prospective customer are clear and incorporated into customer bids.
  • In addition to working with BizDev and Bids, you'll maintain deep relationships with Product, Engineering and Services in order to understand and plan the full implementation for a client which would usually include delivery from third party partners.
  • You will work with all stakeholders early in our deployment cycle to fully understand customer requirements and the work involved in fulfilling new contracts. You will engage in progressive agile/lean practices, working with stakeholders in Product and Engineering to understand how and when new features will be completed, enabling delivery of our platform for new customers or enabling platform upgrades for existing customers.
  • You will work with System Integrators and product partners to coordinate and deliver third-party features.
  • You will work with Finance to maintain up to date revenue models based on project delivery forecasts.
  • You will own the tools and methodologies required to support our complex deployment processes.
  • You will keep the teams (especially the executive team) updated with key performance metrics and dates that will materially affect the business.

*
Our Benefits*

  • Up to 28 days of PTO annually
  • Private healthcare, with employee-funded options for dental/vision/401k
  • Up to 16 weeks paid maternity leave and 3 weeks paid paternity leave Flexible, Hybrid or remote working model, including work from anywhere in the world for 3 months per year, local laws permitting
  • Up to $1000 annual training budget
  • $250 Annual home office allowance
  • $50 monthly team bonding allowance

*
Role Requirements*
// If you have experience in the following, we’re looking for you. But, we aren’t solely looking for candidates with experience in all of these areas — if you meet a few of these criteria, we would love to hear from you.

  • Experience managing complex programs of work in a customer-facing B2B environment.
  • Experience working with a technology product that has an associated partner ecosystem.
  • Experience with at least some project management, compliance and business system frameworks such as Agile, Prince2, ITIL, Six Sigma, PCI etc.
  • Experiencing scaling teams responsible for the deployment of a technology product, preferably a SaaS platform deployed into multiple geographies.
  • Experience with enterprise or government organisations (either as a client but preferably as a supplier) operating within an RFP model.
  • Exposure to financial forecasting, likely supporting the process implemented by a finance team.
  • Experience running your own P&L and budget.
