Job description

We are looking to recruit a couple of highly motivated and enthusiastic volunteers serving as Web Designers or Developers.

You will be involved in the technical aspects of pages working close to the Graphic Designer to determine both the look of the website and how it works.

You'll plan, create and code web pages, from an existing website, using both technical and non-technical skills to bring more interactive and dynamic elements into it.

Key responsibilities would include:

• Carry out coding using HTML/CSS/JS
• Draw up detailed website specifications
• Search engine optimisation (SEO)
• Meet relevant legal requirements such as accessibility standards, freedom of information and privacy
• Edit content, debug code and re-design web pages
• Train the staff to be able to make simple updates in the content when necessary

Technical skills include:

• Coding - HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Dreamweaver
• Design and graphics - InDesign, Illustrator, Canva, Photoshop, Flash. WordPress

This is a Volunter and UNPAID role
