Volunteers are at the heart of our charity - without volunteer support we simply wouldn't exist!
Please note:
- This is a volunteering role, not paid employment
- Applicants must be aged 16 or over
- Volunteer travel costs to/from our speaker presentation locations are reimbursed in line with the charity's general expenses policy
North West Air Ambulance Charity is often invited to attend community groups, organisations, and clubs to talk about our lifesaving service. Our volunteer speakers support us in raising our profile, and ensure people across the North West understand the impact of our service has.
What can you get involved with?
- Building strong community links and increase our presence across the North West
- To offer and present face to face talks, speaking on behalf of the charity to spread the message about the lifesaving work we do
- To raise vital funds through collection of cash donations or attendance at cheque collections
- To ensure that all of our supporters feel special, feel connected to the charity, and remain engaged with our mission
What we need from you
- Strong interpersonal skills with an outgoing and friendly nature
- Able to engage with diverse groups and communicate key messages
- Energy, enthusiasm, and an engaging tone
- Excellent written and verbal communication with experience or an interest in public speaking
- Knowledge of groups in your local area is positive but not essential
- A driving license and access to your own vehicle is desirable

When and where can I volunteer?
The role is based across either Cumbria or North Lancashire depending on your preference. Travel will be required to different organisations, community groups, etc. dependent on where our opportunities are available. There are no minimum volunteering hours required, opportunities can be taken on and fitted around existing commitments.
