Job description
This role reports to the Foodhall Manager. As Foodhall Assistant Manager you will be responsible for the shop floor and deli operation of this fantastic Foodhall & Kitchen.
Your love and knowledge of food will shine through, selling and serving with personality is a must for this exciting role. Liaising with the Foodhall Manager you will select the finest fresh food and ambient produce showcased through wonderful visual displays. Keeping the displays abundant yet minimising waste and reduced-price items will be key to success.
This is a customer-facing service role, so having an outgoing personality will mean you entertain and wow customers daily.
Managing your department’s rostering through the staff scheduling system and be fully responsible for your wage spend, and achieving the highest standards of food safety will be a pre-requisite of the role.
Providing exceptional service and being knowledgeable about food is what will make this Foodhall Assistant Manager stand out from the crowd, from the moment a customer enters the site you and your team will welcome them like friends, taking care of them every step of their visit and beyond. With a good knowledge of EPOS till systems your team will be well trained, creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere for the customer at checkout.
You will be responsible for your departments profit and loss, utilising an EPOS system to assist in identifying sales opportunities to exceed targets.
By being outgoing and confident speaking to groups, participating in demonstration days and organising food events and tasting days, will come easy to you.
Being a team player, you will deliver regular training to the whole team, embracing new ideas and working together to achieve consistently high standards.
