Job description

Avaliable Job Today We are looking for volunteers to support the delivery of weekly, ESOL sessions for English learners in Butetown, Grangetown and Ely.

Qualified ESOL tutors deliver lessons to learners ranging from pre-entry to level 1 on a weekly basis. Assistants help with this delivery by working one-to-one with learners where necessary and providing extra support in general.

Experience isn't vital, though the role is best suited to and beneficial for those currently studying or interested in exploring a career in ESOL teaching. Volunteers should be patient, understanding and encouraging to help create a safe and positive learning environment for the learners.

We are currently seeking volunteers to support sessions taking place at the following times.

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings
  • Friday evenings

The lessons are organised by ACE Cardiff - a charity founded in 2006 which currently focuses on child and adult education in Cardiff - in partnership with Adult Learning Wales.
