Leeds Weekend Care Association “Weekenders Club” Requires Volunteers
Volunteers are required to join us at our Weekend Playscheme for children with disabilities, helping on a Saturday at least twice per month. The Playscheme is based in Headingley and the hours are 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, including a half hour unpaid lunch break.
You will be supporting our staff team to provide care and play opportunities for children and young people who have a variety of disabilities and are aged between 5 and 18 years. Training will be given to help you in this role.
Experience of working with disabled young people would be helpful, although the main thing we are looking for is enthusiasm and commitment, plus a strong desire to help our special client group.
