VM Window Designer, Fashion Division
Location: London Headquarters, UK
Reports to: Décor & Graphic Design Manager
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Your role at CHANEL:
Design, produce and support all Trade and Promotional activity for Fashion UK and Region. Design of Internal Fashion Events and Uphold Brand Image Produce and Support PR/Clients Events.
Design, produce and support Training Events, support the Graphic Designer and the the UK Region with capacity overflow of Design activity and supporting other internal activity.
The Visual Designer role works alongside the other Visual Designer’s in the team. They are operational keystones in the design and execution of all trade, window development and production, PR, Training and Client Events activity for the UK. Working closely across most of the UK departments, from initial design right through to installation. The role also supports the UK Region if there is an overflow of projects and events.
Communicating closely and maintaining relationships with our supplier network is also key, as well as ensuring that project budgets are kept in line. The role must ensure that projects are briefed on time, managed alongside the Décor & Graphic Design Manager and installed on time and within budget.
What impact you can create at Chanel:
Design, produce and support all Trade and Promotional activity for Fashion UK and Region: Supporting the VM teams to implement strong design and creative solutions.
  • Designing 3D concepts for UK and region based on global guidelines
  • Creating proposals and technical layouts in 2D and 3D for the global image team, the UK market & regions (Sketchup experience required)
  • Supporting these concepts through to completion, delivery, installation and design
  • Designing in an environmentally responsible way, considering new, sustainable initiatives within budget considerations and managing the end-of-life cycle of these materials
  • Working closely with the VM team, Event Manager and Retail team to ensure successful completion of all projects are to a high standard
  • Communicating closely and maintaining relationships with our supplier’s network.
  • Supporting the design team in numerous day-to-day and ad-hoc tasks
  • Careful and considerate project managing of tasks ensuring strict timelines are kept to
  • Working fluidly across wider internal teams
  • Managing your own workflow as well as considering workflow within other teams to ensure projects are completed on time, in budget and to the standard required
  • Completing any other tasks deemed appropriate for the role
What you will bring to the role:
  • At least one-year experience within the industry is preferable
  • Strong interest in Retail and VM Design and keen to stay curious
  • Sketchup knowledge is essential and Artlantis (or otherwise) rendering experience preferable
  • Qualification in a design subject is desirable
  • Ability to design with a CSR mindset and sustainable thinking
  • Fluent in the Adobe Suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Fluent in the Microsoft suite of programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work proactively in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Team player mindset with the ability to confidently work self-sufficiently
  • Able to commute to a London-based office and able to work remotely if required
