Contract: 6-Month FTC
Location: Handforth, Cheshire, SK9 3RN, hybrid, 2 days a week on the office
About the Role
As a People Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering a proactive HR service focussing on our On-Boarding experience. This role is challenging, busy and very rewarding and you will be joining a team who are energetic and focused on achieving the highest standards and exceeding our stakeholders’ expectations.
Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for the Onboarding team, ensuring that queries via telephone, email or Teams are answered professionally and promptly, or escalated appropriately for action.
- Proactively manage and be responsible for all administrative processes, ensuring all relevant documentation is obtained and colleague’s files are fully completed and compliant, in order to meet audit requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring a seamless transition for the candidate from recruitment and initial offer through to start date.
- Be the first line support in managing the team inbox, whereby day to day queries are received from colleagues.
- Ensure that you always work within the boundaries of current right to work legislation and the Data Protection Regulations when handling colleague data and throughout the activities or projects you are involved in.
- Work closely with your peers to ensure a seamless delivery of service is given by understanding their roles/challenges and responding to these by working together to deliver improvements.
- Proactively look for ways to enhance service provision to all stakeholders.
- To work within the values and behaviours of the Company and display high standards of integrity and professionalism towards colleagues and all stakeholders.
Role Specific competencies
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work under pressure, set priorities, complete tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Driven to continuously provide outputs which are of a high standard and quality.
- Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise effectively, attention to details.
- Manage own time and workload effectively.
- Confident and effective communicator.
- Able to build strong and productive working relationships with colleagues , can do attitude
- Resourceful and adept at problem-solving (including being able to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner).
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience of working with an HR services environment.
- Experience of working within in a complex organisation.
- Willingness and aptitude to use a variety of software, but specifically Success Factors.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent or working towards.
- Working knowledge of SAP HR Success Factors.
- Basic understanding of Employment Law, specifically in relation to Eligibility to Work in the UK and Statutory requirements.
