In a nutshell
You’ll be working in one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas of Sainsbury’s Bank and will support the business in conceptualising and delivering exceptional content-led, digital-first marketing campaigns, through your expertise in visual design.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and supporting the creation of best-in-class digital and omni-channel creative campaigns, with a real focus on visual design excellence, as part of our internal agency
- Taking the lead in developing and managing the creation of digital campaign assets, with particular attention paid to creative motion output
- Absorbing and understanding how our unique customer insight analytics, brand strategies and Sainsbury’s Bank customer strategies can be used to communicate key customer messages across media channels, to facilitate customer-centric marketing campaigns in an omni-channel environment
- Contributing to our design culture by engaging with industry design standards and using design thinking to solve problems
- Supporting in managing the Design Studio’s daily workflow for the team, leading and participating in key wider business virtual teams to progress and further develop revenue earning opportunities for the department, and evolve the innovation of the output
- Having an overarching view of day-to-day projects to prioritise work
- Delivering digital design capabilities, leading the conversation, and making sure our department output supports our business objectives
- Driving efficient and profitable commercialisation of campaigns to deliver on our revenue targets, working with senior team members to establish positive working relationships with clients and partners
- Helping take our department propositions to both internal management forums and external client stakeholders, presenting creative concepts, helping communicate our ideas/concepts and continuing to help establish our solid reputation for creativity and delivery
What you need to know and show
- Extensive working experience in Adobe design software including After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere pro and Figma. As well as experience working with html5 to build display adverts
- Excellent knowledge of visual design, copy and tone-of-voice principles, and how to adapt and apply these, based on stakeholder requirements
- Experience in a commercially driven environment, understanding commercial strategies and forecasting budgets
- Broad understanding of Financial Services and the wider retail landscape
- An appreciation for marketing, loyalty and data driven propositions
- Knowledge of how to drive project activity efficiently to meet commercial targets, with a solutions-focussed approach
- Ability to anticipate risks and see opportunities, taking actions to address them or reporting issues/possible solutions
- Always looking to make things better and improve the design and execution process
- Be a strong communicator who can engage stakeholders at all levels and support them with identifying solutions to drive value for our business
- A creative mind-set with the ability to use your experience and knowledge to drive design thinking within the team and develop others.
- The ability to be concise and clear and helping to form accurate and detailed working briefs
