Home to the famous Lovell Telescope, Jodrell Bank is a deep space observatory, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a place of live scientific research. Its Discovery Centre is a multi-award winning attraction welcoming over 180,000 annual visitors including 25,000 children visiting on a school trip. We are seeking to appoint a Visitor Environment Assistant who will deliver high quality customer support services at Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre, carrying out day-to-day visitor services under the guidance of the Visitor Services Manager, ensuring that agreed professional standards of customer service and hospitality are continuously delivered in an efficient, safe manner in line with customer requirements. The contract is 35 hours per week. Shift patterns will vary but will include some weekend and Bank Holiday working.
Jodrell Bank is located some 20 miles from Manchester with very limited public transport links therefore own transport will be necessary.
