The cinema is situated right in the heart of the city centre. The cinema, which is the tallest in Europe is surrounded by a large selection of restaurants & retailers. The cinema has 18 screens, including three ViP screens, a Superscreen and our 4DX screen with motion seats, wind, rain, storm & snow. We are also home to a Starbucks Coffee shop and three Baskin Robbins counters.
We are looking for a Full Time Supervisor to join our team.
Job Description:
Support the effective and efficient delivery of the company vision by supporting the whole cinema Team.
To ensure the ViP cinema operation is able to provide a great customer experience by organising the safe and compliant operation of the ViP Kitchen through effective leadership of the kitchen team. To be creative and proficient in the safe preparation of hot and cold food offers that complement and enhance the ViP Offer for our customers. To collaborate with the cinema and ViP team to adapt to customer experience feedback and be flexible to new ideas or approaches.
Responsibilities:
Maintain regular and effective communication links with the Management Team and Team Members
Participate in Team Leader and Management Team meetings as required
To ensure all kitchen equipment is kept safe, clean and operational through regular checks and reporting of faults.
To ensure all kitchen staff are fully aware of allergen management procedures including correct food labelling and cross contamination risks in food preparation.
To maintain regular food safety checks such as temperature checks and stock rotation.
To ensure correct stock ordering is undertaken to ensure sufficient availability of ingredients for food buffet offer.
To ensure secure stock management and reconciliation is undertaken correctly within the agreed stock count schedule.
To work closely with the Front of House ViP Team to ensure food preparation and timings are aligned with the film performance times of the ViP Cinema.
To be open and collaborative with the Retail Department and National Starbucks & ViP Manager in ongoing menu development
People
Ensure ongoing feedback, coaching and development of Team Members, recognising great performance at every opportunity
Assist in the development and delivery of Team member meetings (as required)
Effective organisation of Team Members and resources to deliver the operational requirements of the ViP cinema
Induct, train, develop, motivate and engage Team Members
Operational Excellence
Ensure all relevant licensing, legislative and business compliance is adhered to
Maintain operational standards to Company expectation.
Ensure Team Members are aware of relevant business information to:
Meet business needs
Operate effectively
Maximise sales opportunities
Reacting to customer feedback and adapting menus to suit the audience profile when necessary.
Develop, support and understand back of house operations to deliver the business objectives.
Assist with back of house compliance
