Job Description


THE TEAM

ASOS Marketplace is fundamental in supporting the ASOS mission to become the world's number-one destination for fashion-loving 20-somethings. The platform directly connects ASOS browsers and buyers to over 1,000 Independent brands and Vintage sellers, who together provide a unique and curated offer of new, on-trend items as well as vintage, upcycled and recycled items.

THE ROLE

Our seller community is integral to the success of ASOS Marketplace. The seller development team is responsible for driving growth and retention of our sellers through account management, education and insights. You will oversee our vintage seller community, and will be responsible for coaching and equipping our vintage sellers with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed as a seller on ASOS Marketplace. As an ambassador for our vintage seller community, you will capturing regular feedback from sellers and feed this into the wider business to support key improvements across the selling experience. You will report into the Business Success Lead and will directly manage a vintage seller development coordinator.

You bring a proven track record of commercial success in online vintage fashion marketplaces, and you have a strong understanding of both the vintage fashion supply chain and key consumer trends. You will also possess vital knowledge and experience, including the ability to authenticate vintage fashion items. Above all, you are entrepreneurial and you are highly passionate in supporting emerging talent.

What you’ll be doing…

Seller Development

  • You will oversee the vintage seller department, ensuring sellers are equipped with valuable knowledge and tools to grow on ASOS Marketplace
  • Grow the vintage seller community through one-to-one account management, educational programmes and marketing campaigns
  • Proactively identify short-term tactics and longer-term initiatives to engage and retain sellers, promoting ASOS Marketplace as the no. #1 channel for sellers
  • Partner with the Marketing team to plan and execute key campaigns to elevate key vintage trends at the right moments, while factoring seller product sourcing lead times
  • Lead the authentication of vintage items and listings, and scale this knowledge across the seller development, operations and new business team
  • Regularly collaborate with the new business team to identify new seller onboarding opportunities based on department performance and overall market trends
  • Manage and develop the vintage seller development coordinator, ensuring the effective prioritisation of account management efforts
  • Act as an effective conduit between our seller community and our Product and Tech team by regularly sharing key seller feedback to prioritise improvements across the selling experience

Trade Optimisation

  • Support trade reporting by providing regular vintage performance updates on a weekly, monthly and on an ad-hoc basis
  • Work with the Business Success Lead to set clear department KPIs and report against these on agreed time frames
  • Work with the Trade and eCommerce manager to plan in relevant trade and promotional levers to help deliver growth for our vintage sellers
  • Act as an Ambassador by constantly promoting and driving awareness of the vintage department and its unique selling proposition within the wider ASOS Business

Qualifications


Who we'd like to meet...

  • A proven track record of success in developing vintage fashion brands within the online fashion space
  • Experience working with vintage product and a proven ability to authenticate luxury and branded clothing and accessories
  • A passion for emerging talent & supporting creative entrepreneurs with a proven track record of developing brands
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience of using KPIs and customer insights to drive performance
  • Great relationship building skills
