**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a talented and creative Remote Video Editor to join our team at IBT. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing and producing compelling video content that aligns with our mission to promote international journalism and storytelling. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own space.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Video Editing:** Edit and assemble video footage, audio, and graphics to create engaging and informative video content.
2. **Content Enhancement:** Enhance video quality, color correction, and audio improvements to ensure high production standards.
3. **Storytelling:** Collaborate with our team to tell impactful and thought-provoking stories through video content.
4. **Video Production:** Participate in the planning and production process of video projects, including script reviews and creative input.
5. **Deadlines:** Meet project deadlines and ensure timely delivery of finished videos.
6. **Quality Control:** Conduct quality checks on all edited content to maintain consistency and adhere to IBT's standards.
7. **Software Proficiency:** Utilize video editing software and tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects) effectively.
**Requirements:**
1. **Experience:** Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
2. **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in video editing software and tools. Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a plus.
3. **Creativity:** Strong creative and storytelling abilities with an eye for detail.
4. **Communication:** Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with our team remotely.
5. **Self-Motivated:** Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
6. **Passion:** A genuine interest in international journalism and global issues is a plus.
