Job description
The Video Editor will be based on-site for our global investment banking client which provides a range of marketing services including video, animation, and digital marketing. You will primarily be producing day-to-day analyst videos and motion graphic productions for the department.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end daily analyst videos from filming, production coordination to performing post-production of video & audio footage
- Add effects/elements to enhance motion design as appropriate
- Confident Camera Operator shooting mainly interview setups with radio mikes. The cameras we use daily are Canon C200 cameras and it would be an advantage for the candidate to have experience using this camera (not essential however).
- Assist in selecting appropriate audio, graphic and animation styles for the project.
- Keep abreast of advancements in animation as well as new technologies and techniques to deliver innovative work
- Comprehend and uphold brand style guidelines
- Ability to solve an array of challenges through visual design
- Must be able to mediate creative problems to arrive at the best solution
- Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven, creative environment; manage time effectively, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Work on multiple projects concurrently, balancing time constraints whilst maintaining quality
- Detail-oriented individual
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
Requirements:
- Good undergraduate degree or similar qualification – essential.
- Minimum of 3+ years recent relevant experience
- Expert skills in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, After Affects, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art video/film/graphics/ and post-production techniques and equipment, including shooting stills and video
- Extensive experience interpreting producer ideas and working with editors and support staff
- Have tremendous love for design and a clear, clean aesthetic
- Fluency in video trends and best practices
- Excellent attention to detail, communication and organisation skills
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Able to work well under tight deadlines both independently and with groups
