Position Summary:
- Position: Video Editor (Contract based: for Youtube and Social Media content)
- Location: GTA
- Reporting to: Marketing Team
Candy Funhouse is looking for a skilled Video Editor who can bring our creative vision to life through editing and post-production. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for assembling raw footage, enhancing visual elements, adding special effects, and ensuring the overall quality and aesthetic appeal of our videos. This position requires a strong eye for detail, proficiency in video editing software, and a passion for storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to understand project requirements and bring the vision to life and implementing feedback to ensure final product is meeting objectives
- Edit and create work which is visually appealing, engaging, unique and high quality for Youtube and Social Media (TikTok, Instagram, etc)
- Managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Using the most up to date features and techniques which are trending in popular social media content
- Contributing to brainstorming sessions and providing creative ideas for content
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience of 3-5+ years
- Proven work experience as a Video Editor, showcasing a strong portfolio of edited videos for YouTube and social media content
- Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
- Candidates must have knowledge of camera operations for both still photos and video, and knowledge of lighting and composition
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking feedback and incorporating it into the editing process.
- Willingness to learn and take on challenging tasks
Job Type: Freelance
Salary: $16.00-$23.00 per hour
