Job Description:

We are looking to hire a talented and experienced Video Editor to join our Marketing team. As a lead video editor, you will be responsible for assembling recorded film and video footage, applying artistic editing techniques and creating finished, broadcast-worthy projects that promote our product, research and company.

To ensure success as a video editor, you should have expert knowledge of video editing techniques, be able to visualize directorial concepts and work according to the needs and schedules of the stakeholders you’re working with. Ultimately, as our video editor, you can help build a process and have a working style that can perfectly translate an idea into a beautifully crafted film or video piece.

The role itself will involve:

• Working with stakeholders across Marketing, Product, etc. to create engaging content for promoting our product, research and company

• Sourcing b-roll and imagery and/or create original files for the company and any partnerships with clients

• Reviewing raw material to determine the shot list

• Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques

• Trimming footage and putting together the rough project while ensuring that it follows a logical sequence

• Inserting dialogue, sound effects, music, motion identity graphic assets into footage

• Consulting regularly with the other stakeholders in the project as well as the Marketing and Studio teams throughout the project, with Marketing leads as final report

• Creating the final cut for online broadcasting

You will be the ideal candidate if:

• You have the right to work in the UK (essential)

• Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.

• 3+ years previous work experience as a video editor

• Expertise with editing software, including Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, and Premier

• Experience in motion design and working with animation principles

• You have a portfolio of completed film productions

• You are highly organised and possess the ability to work to a tight schedule

• You can translate a written script into an engaging storyboard

• You are highly organised and self-motivated with a sense of urgency where needed

• You are capable of handling multiple tasks with minimal supervision

• You can think critically and exercise independent judgement and discretion

• You’re motivated to grow yourself, and help enable the growth of BeZero Carbon

• You care about attention to detail
